On the Lam

This little fellow had escaped from Butterfly World and was resting among the orchids in the adjacent building. The owner told me that in the evenings when things cool down and the butterflies are less active, they can capture them fairly easily and bring them back inside.

Low Tide in Lantzville

I don't care what beach you are on. When the tide goes out there are always new things to discover.

Evening Seascape in Lantzville

I've been looking forward to doing some night photography and finally managed to get out and try my hand.  I took this last night at around 10:00 p.m.  This is a 25 second exposure.  Some of the other photographs I took were much longer but after 30 seconds my camera goes to "bulb" so I had to count out loud...so much for accuracy!

Still this was a nice change to daytime photography so I think that I will pursue this a little further. It was very quiet on the beach and I enjoyed watching the sun go down. I will post a sunset photo in a few days.
